I'm done

For two years now I've been blogging about the situation in Israel and all things that are in my view related. And many things ARE related, because I feel that the war against Israel is but a small part of the war being fought against the West, by Islam.

I say 'Islam' and not 'radical Islam' because in my opinion the distinction is artificial and non-existent. If there are different versions of Islam, they are 'Islam' and 'moderate Islam', the latter version being practiced by enlightened, Westernized Muslims, who are usually ostracized and reviled for straying from the true path. Apart from the fact that these moderate Muslims are a minority, they are also inconsequential because they have no influence on mainstream Muslims, and even if they did, they never choose to (attempt to) use it. So for all practical purposes, there is only one version of Islam.

This blog was mostly inspired by anger. Anger over the depravities of Muslims whose only constraints in murdering Jews and other people (even their own) stem from technological and logistical limitations, rather than from moral ones.

Anger over the inablity and/or unwillingness of the West to see the conflict for what it is: A clash between civilizations. A clash in which the West is a party, a side, and not an observer.

Anger over the division within the West, a division which causes people who know better to still side with the terrorists and their sponsors for simple greed. The terrorists are rich, and very pragmatic in their methods for eroding Western resistance: They will use Western spies, collaborators and useful idiots while there is a need. And many intelligent and educated Westerners let themselves be used, for greed or out of misguided sympathy. Once the Islamic goal is reached, they will find out who they've been supporting. It will no longer matter then that they finally realize the truth.

Anger over the Jewhatred that causes people to differentiate between the Arab-Israeli conflict and the the conflict between the West and Islam. There is no difference. They are one and the same. Israel has been the vanguard of the West in this conflict, has been and is still paying a terrible price, and has been made a pariah as a reward. Wether the average European realizes it or not, the double standard to which Jews and Arabs are held is motivated (at least in large part) by millennia-old anti-Semitism, and I do mean hatred of Jews.

But more than anything I feel anger over the attitude of the Jews themselves. They are truly autonomous now. They have no one to blame but themselves if they handover land to Arabs.
They are wise. They have learned any lesson any people should need to learn in only the last 100 years or so, and still they choose to live like the Jews in the Eastern-European ghetto's. Trying to go with the flow, trying not to cause a stir, trying to be invisible. Refusing to acknowledge that it is futile to try to be a part of the community, any community. You are not popular. You are not wanted, you are hated. Accept it and act accordingly. Give up trying to get accepted and be liked. Do what you want and let the world do likewise.

But the Jews have been living like serfs for too long. I'm afraid it is ingrained, has become part of their DNA. The Jews will let themselves be threatened, cajoled and manipulated into destroying themselves. I have not yet given up all hope for Israel, but I feel very pessimistic. There is no excuse for the course the Sharon goverment is currently on, treating a Holocaust-denying Arafat flunky as partner for peace, giving up land in return for more Kassam rockets, treating its own protesting citizens as terrorists.

The straw that broke this camel's back was the predictable yet psychotic reaction of Western politicians the world over to the bombings in London: The "tiny minority" of terrorists, the "vast majority" of peace-loving Muslims, seeking a reason for this latest atrocity as if a sane reason could actually exist.

So I'm done commenting. I may still rant once in a while. But from now on, I'll be looking for more constructive ways to deal with the frustrations. I am open to suggestions, as long as they involve more than just writing. The time for persuasion through dialogue and information has passed however.

Daniel,
I feel your frustration. The world does not want to understand Daniel. A simple history lesson would open their eyes.

I do not know why other than I think to acknowledge the reality is to know the west can not fix this by their traditional ways.

However, having said that--there are many that do understand and I hope you continue to write and educate people.

It may seem as if it is futile but it is not. Even if one person achieves a better understanding then your writing has done its job.

You do it so well too. The two state plan will never happen Daniel. The terrorists are not interested in sharing anything.

Yes, i fear for Israel in that some have bought this idea that land for peace could work and they have a rude awakening on the way but Daniel--dont stop writing the truth.
