Wow. Awesome.

A light cast on European anti-Semitism from ANOTHER new angle.
Victor Davis Hanson on National Review Online

Although Hanson forgets to mention (or is unaware) that the US more than any other nation (apart from the murderers themselves of course, but they can't really be blamed) was responsible for the large number of Israeli casualties (the US were aware of the impending attack, but chose not to warn Israel until hours before the outbreak of the war), his essay gives new meaning to the concept of "European balance".

Kilroy was here.

I always liked this guy, never knew why. It's all become clear now.

Original Kilroy article, Express on Sunday, 4th January 2004
We owe Arabs nothing.

WE ARE told by some of the more hysterical critics of the war on terror that "it is destroying the Arab world". So? Should w e be worried about that? Shouldn't the destruction of the despotic, barbarous and corrupt Arab states and their replacement by democratic governments be a war aim? After all, the Arab countries are not exactly shining examples of civilisation, are they? Few of them make much contribution to the w elfare of the rest of the world. Indeed, apart from oil - which was discovered, is produced and is paid for by the West - what do they contribute? Can you think of anything? A nything really useful? Anything really valuable? Something we really need, could not do without? No, nor can I. Indeed, the Arab countries put together export less than Finland.

We're told that the Arabs loathe us. Really? For liberating the Iraqis? For subsidising the lifestyles of people in Egypt and Jordan, to name but two, for giving them vast amounts of aid? For providing them w ith science, medicine, technology and all the other benefits of the West? They should go down on their knees and thank God for the munificence of the United States. What do they think we feel about them? That we adore them for the w ay they murdered more than 3,000 civilians on September 11 and then danced in the hot, dusty streets to celebrate the murders?

That we admire them for the cold-blooded killings in Mombasa, Y emen and elsewhere? That we admire them for being suicide bombers, limb-amputators, womenrepressors? I don't think the Arab states should start a debate about what is really loathsome.

But why, in any case, should we be concerned that they feel angry and loathe us? The Arab world has not exactly earned our respect, has it? Iran is a vile, terrorist-supporting regime - part of the axis of evil. So is the Saddam Hussein-supporting Syria. So is Libya. Indeed, most of them chant support for Saddam.

That is to say they support an evil dictator who has gassed hundreds of thousands of their fellow Arabs and tortured and murdered thousands more. How can they do this and expect our respect?

Why do they imagine that only they can feel anger, call people loathsome? It is the equivalent of all the European nations coming out in support of Hitler the moment he was attacked by the US, because he was European, despite the fact that he was attempting to exterminate the Jews - and Arabs.

Moreover, the people who claim we are loathsome are currently threatening our civilian populations with chemical and biological weapons. They are promising to let suicide bombers loose in Western and American cities. They are trying to terrorise us, disrupt our lives.
And then they expect us to be careful of their sensibilities? We have thousands of asylum seekers from Iran, Iraq, Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries living happily in this country on social security.

This shows what their own people think of the Arab regimes, doesn't it? There is not one single British asylum seeker in any Arab country. That says it all about which country deserves the epithet loathsome. GEORGE GALLOWAY, the member of parliament for Baghdad Central, as his tormentors describe him, called the British and American troops "wolves" and called for the Arab countries to rise up and fight them and to cut off oil from the combatants. Later he called upon British troops to refuse to obey "illegal orders".He has, predictably, been vilified. His comments have been termed a disgrace, disgusting, outrageous and so on.

He has been called a loony, naive, gullible and a traitor. There have been demands that George's constituency party should deselect him, that his constituents should not vote for him at the next general election, and that he should be deported to Iraq. No one, as yet, has demanded that he be put in the stocks or burnt at the stake, though no doubt this will come.
But why all the fuss? Why is everyone getting into such an excitable lather over the predictable remarks of a no-mark?
Who with any sense cares an Iraqi dinar for what dear George thinks? Like Clare Short, George is a licensed court jester. He acts the buffoon while she's the straight part of the act, though she exaggerates her sanctimonious seriousness.

Neither are taken seriously. Both are totally discredited laughing stocks that add to the variety of political life. At least George is open, honest and sincere.

The endless perversion of Muslim extremists

Scotland Yard received a report that a female suicide bomber was carrying explosives in her vagina. On the impact of such tactics, but perhaps even more importantly the mindset such action requires this op-ed deals. Read please.

Israel should not only keep their nukes,

... It should build more.
Not that they'll be protection from the ones the Arab will soon have

No one ever doubted Israel's motives. No one ever worried that Israel would ever use them, except in the direst form of self-defense. No one but the murderers and haters, that is.

No one doubts that the Arabs WILL use them, directly or by proxy. And few now doubt that the Arabs posess them, or will, soon.

After that, it is a matter of time. The wait won't take too long.

FBI hates Jews, loves Arabs

2 years ago Jews were refused as Arab translators. Despite a shortage of those. More than 90 applied, and although the FBI gave no reason for the refusal, it could not possibly be that none were sufficiently qualified.

Now there's a report that blatantly biased and suspect Arabs are employed by the FBI, and the person reporting them is fired. Read it all here

There can be no economic or other opportunistic motive for such an attitude. So what can it be?...

Israel illegally occupies Mars!

Yes indeed!

Soviet-style justice

Very good op-ed about the international collective movement against Israel. Its focus goes beyond the current uproar about the security fence, and exposes the global agenda against Israel. It also gives a short but powerful summary of the cases of selective anger about Israel's alleged trespasses.

Non-Muslims live perfectly equal lives under Islam...

Keep trying to convince me that non-Muslims have the same right in Muslim societies that Muslims have in non-Muslim countries.

The Matrix and Jonathan Pollard

The Matrix and Jonathan Pollard, by Ben Yam

I'll quote it here in full. It is too important to chance a broken link.

Like the immensely popular sci-fi trilogy The Matrix, we live in a world of virtual reality. It is like a well-written piece of software created by savvy media merchants and slick PR people, that encompasses most of life as we know it. Its programmers and tech-support folks - the media moguls and political mavens - are well-paid for investing years into perfecting and debugging their product.

In this virtual world, the United States of America and Israel are presented as inseparable friends, bonded together by the love for individual freedom, democracy and the virtues of peaceful monotheistic traditions. More than ever, the current U.S. president's virtual image is programmed as the paragon of Christian morality, honest and down-to-earth, a true Patriot who leads the free world in its battle against the evils of Terrorism.

But even the best software has its glitches. They may seem small and inconspicuous; many compensatory mechanisms have been erected to prevent these small "bugs" from interfering with the smooth functioning of the System. But they are there, and if one pays attention, it suddenly becomes clear that this virtual world is nothing but a human creation, a product designed to serve a specific end.

Take the case of Jonathan Pollard. His ongoing victimization by the American government is entering its 19th year, with no end in sight. The extremely severe, grossly disproportionate punishment he received, and the undeniable cruelty with which the U.S. judiciary and executive branches have dealt with him ever since he was arrested in 1985, have been described over and over, in books, articles, on TV, radio, the web... Yet, some people still don't get it: Jonathan Pollard's case is not an aberration. It is not an isolated unfortunate instance of governmental misconduct. It exemplifies the norm.

Forget about decentralization of power - the delicate balance between the legislative, judiciary and executive branches, which is so crucial to a true democracy. In Pollard's case, they all worked hand in hand - while treading on the fundamental principles of the U.S. Constitution, to say nothing of common sense.

Forget about the friendship between the U.S. and Israel: no other individual convicted of spying for an ally got such treatment. And yes, the U.S. withheld information from Israel it was legally and morally obliged to share. And yes, everyone even vaguely familiar with the intelligence community knows that everyone spies on everyone, friend or foe; but does Israel have CIA agents locked up for 18 years in miserable conditions?

That was a trick question. It brings us to the next smart invention of the virtual Matrix, called the "War on Terrorism." Unlike all wars before it, this war is being waged against a construct instead of a defined enemy. There are deep reasons for that. After all, who funded Osama bin Laden at the beginning of his terrorist career? Who covers for the Saudi sponsors of militant Islam and gives them a political voice in the Arab-Israeli "conflict"? What country covertly aided Saddam Hussein to amass an arsenal of chemical and biological weapons as well as Weapons of Mass Destruction? The American officials and subsequent administrations, which funded known terrorists and supported regimes which harbor and sustain terrorist organizations and manufacture WMD shall remain unnamed here. But now that they are waging a War on Terrorism we need to ask, who are they fighting - themselves?

Of course not! Instead, the image of "public enemy" is unjustly affixed to a Jew, Jonathan Pollard, who put his life on the line to avert the REAL menace of terrorism that was looming large against the Jewish State. Pollard was among the pioneers of the War against Terrorism, in the REAL world.

In the REAL world - not the virtual reality - the U.S. government, for many successive administrations, has regarded oil-rich Saudi Arabia drenched in bigotry and hatred, as its most important ally in the Middle East.

In the REAL world - not the virtual reality - Israel is regarded as expendable to the U.S. power structures as last year's snow. For years, U.S. policy in the Middle East has progressively rendered Israel more and more dependent on aid, which has been and will be withdrawn wantonly, often at the most critical moment.

In the REAL world, - not the virtual reality - nothing has changed since the founding of the Jewish State nearly 60 years. Now as then, Israel cannot count on anyone for protection in its hour of need except its own army and the strength of its own people. People like Jonathan Pollard.

The REAL world, the one that reveals itself when you wrestle your attention away from the projected and distorted images of the Media Matrix, is more convincing and more compelling when you reach it on your own. Time is running out. Consider this a wakeup call.

Disconnect yourself from the Matrix.
