Good

Immigration and Integration Minister Rita Verdonk has ordered three imams accused of being a threat to public order and national security to get out of the Netherlands.

The trio have been accused of preaching a militant anti-western message at Al Fourkaan mosque in Eindhoven and allowing young people to be recruited for Jihad.

Peace is at hand

You know me well enough by now to know this headline MUST be another attack of sarcasm.
Palestinian terror at worst level since 'cease-fire' heads WorldNetDaily, and never were scare quotes more apt.
In the last 14 days alone, there were over 60 mortar and Qassam rocket attacks and one attempted terrorist infiltration against Jewish communities in Gaza, the area's security chief, Ami Shaked told WND.

Also, in the past three weeks, 26 Molotov cocktails were thrown at Israeli citizens, and there were four attempts by Palestinian terrorists to smuggle explosive belts and charges past West Bank checkpoints. Two of these attempts were carried out by 14- to 15-year-old teenagers who planned to commit suicide attacks against Israelis, marking the 16th time the past two months a Palestinian teenager had attempted to detonate a bomb or smuggle arms and explosives through a military checkpoint.
This is about the best the Jews can hope for. After releasing hundreds if not thousands of Arabs from jails as a goodwill gesture, when the 'disengagement' (read: retreat) from Gaza is in full swing, war by another name is full on.

Try to imagine ANY other country in the world sitting and taking this from a sworn, proven and dedicated enemy.

In Israel, this is business as usual. And the very real danger of that is that the Jews don't even see these attacks for what they really are any more: Another day, another dead Jew.

The Jews are back in the ghetto. And being attacked is just a part of every day life.

There was a short period when Jews realized it actually doesn't need to be like this, is not MEANT to be like this.
But the Jews have let themselves be convinced that this is their proper place, their fate on Earth. They have again become a subjugated, beaten people.

In Europe, this culminated in the Shoah.

Jews still exist on this planet. The only way they will continue to do so is if they take back control of their fate. No one else should decide what happens to the Jews. Only the Jews. Only Israel.

Just cultural differences

Bono shocked by Muslim women's reaction to breastfeeding heads the Muslim News.
Bono recalls: "I remember one vision of the people who are with World Vision, which is an American aid agency.

"One of the women was breast-feeding a child on the horse. She was so comfortable. She didn't mean to be insensitive.

"But the Muslim women did not like this and came out and started throwing stones at her because she was showing her breasts."
The Muslim News itself comments thus on this incident:
The American woman was oblivious of the offence she was causing, and had to escape the angry onslaught from female Muslims who had no qualms about injuring her or her baby.
Good to see this Muslim medium also (apparently) regard this behaviour as barbaric.

North-Korea: Amnesty needs no other causes

In my role as an emergency doctor, I also visited a number of other medical institutions besides the ten hospitals and three orphanages to which I was assigned. In every locale, I witnessed horrific conditions. There were no bandages, no scalpels, no antibiotics, no operating rooms—only ramshackle wooden beds supporting starving children waiting to die. Doctors used empty beer bottles as vessels for intravenous dripping. Safety razors were used as scalpels. I even witnessed an appendectomy performed without anesthesia. Meanwhile I found out, through my own investigations, about government storehouses and diplomatic shops carrying large stocks of bandages and other medical supplies for privileged classes.

There are two worlds in North Korea: One is the world of senior military officers, Communist Party members, and the country’s ruling elite. They enjoy a lavish lifestyle, fancy restaurants, diplomatic shops with European foods, nightclubs, even a casino.

The world for ordinary people in North Korea is completely different. In their world, one can see young children, undersized, undernourished, mute, with sunken eyes and skin stretched tight across their faces, wearing uniform blue-and-white-striped pajamas. Anyone who’s seen pictures of Dachau or Auschwitz would find the scene distressingly familiar.

Most of the patients in the hospitals suffer from psychosomatic illnesses. They’re worn out by compulsory drills, innumerable parades, mandatory assemblies beginning at the crack of dawn, and constant, droning propaganda. They are tired and at the end of their tether. Clinical depression is rampant. Alcoholism is common. Young adults have no hope, no future. Everywhere you look, people are beset by anxiety.

Everyday workers and farmers are starving and dying. Unwarranted arrest and detention are common, and one can only imagine what the conditions are like in the so-called “reform institutions,” where entire families are imprisoned when any member does or says something to offend the regime. These camps are closed to all foreigners, even to stringently non-confrontational organizations like the International Red Cross. If the main “medical” diagnosis of North Korea’s sick society is fear and depression brought about by a horrendous government, what is the cure?
But Amnesty International published its annual report with its outrageous focus on the US.

Ready to join the community of Human Beings

On April 8, Hamas Anti-Corruption Group, described by Israeli security sources as a kind of "morality police" operating within the terror group's apparatus, reportedly carried out an extra-judicial honor killing of a Palestinian woman suspected of "indecent behavior."

Yusra al-Azzami, a young female university student from Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip, reportedly was caught by Hamas, together with another female, riding in a vehicle with two men. The Hamas members, charged with imposing Islamic ideals, suspected the group of "immoral behavior" and shot at the car, killing al-Azzami and wounding the other occupants.
Stone Age barbarians. With automatic rifles and a thirst for nukes.

But like
Charles Johnson always says: Let's give these nice people a state, why don't we?

Joseph Farah gets it, too

I've written a number of times about the unbelievable betrayal of Israel by President Bush. I also commented on how nearly all the traditional friends of Israel kept silent about this, I even mentioned Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily by name. Well, Farah speaks out, and does it well:
President Bush's precedent-setting statement last week that the United States would accept no deviation from the 1949 armistice lines as future borders for Israel without Palestinian Authority approval.

Bush has become an advocate for the Arabs at the expense of the Israelis.

In effect, he has become the best bargaining chip the terrorists of the Middle East have ever had.

Bush has upped the ante from previous demands by the Palestinian Authority. Until last week, the Palestinians had been demanding a return to pre-1967 borders. Now Bush has raised the stakes.

If there were any doubts about what Bush meant, he went even further, re-emphasizing his support for the creation of a Palestinian state.

"A state of scattered territories will not work," he said. "There must also be meaningful linkages between the West Bank and Gaza."

While the idea of linkages between territories sounds reasonable to those not familiar with the geography of the Middle East, Israelis understand it can mean only one thing – cutting Israel in half.
"Bush has become the best bargaining chip the terrorists of the Middle East have ever had". I could not have said it better myself. No US President, not Eisenhower, not Nixon, not even Carter, all sworn enemies of Israel in their heart, were as deceitful and treacherous.
This is the new reality which Sharon and the Israelis must accept, according to Bush – starting over with the indefensible borders the new Jewish state inherited, indefensible borders that led to three major wars and 56 years of unrelenting terrorism from its neighbors.

It's a do-over.

Israel gets to make all of the sacrifices it made to survive all over again. It gets to hope and pray that God delivers the Jewish state to miraculous victories once again. It gets to do all this without a single friend it can count on in the whole world – not even the United States this time around.
Farah's final conclusion here is one I've come to a very long time ago: After reading "The secret war against the Jews".

Israel always was, is and always will be alone. Once the Jews fully realize and accept this, all the hard choices and courses of action to take become easy, and clear.

'Suicide'bombers getting younger...

A one-year old 'suicide' bomber. Not of its own volition of course, its father had intended to use his baby to wrap explosives around.
The leader of a terrorist cell who was killed in a confrontation with security forces last week had planned to wrap explosives around the body of a one-year-old baby before placing her in the Justice Ministry.
This time not even to murder Jews, but to assassinate other Arabs.

Golda Meir once said "Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us". Seems like there's not much chance of that happening anytime soon I guess.
